On the coming of the apocalypse

Okay, so posting might be slow the next couple of days as I recover from the alcohol poisoning from which I plan to suffer tonight. Why, you ask? Lemme see:

Packers over Redskins, 28-14
Bush over Kerry, 286-252
Miami over Virginia, 30-21
Auburn over Georgia, 24-6

and we earned every point scored against us.

Dammit.

Update: Bengals over Redskins, 17-10. Why do I bother? Why do I freaking bother?

Hey, at least you didn't have to be at the game. Mark Brunell, RIP.

At least you won't be me, watching my Alabama Crimson Tide (quite likely) get steamrolled by Auburn this week; Auburn fans are insufferable most of the time, anyway, please God spare us from a national championship!

Why in God's name are you a Redskins fan anyway?

Because it's right, Angry, because it's right. That's what being a fan is all about. You don't just abandon a baby because it's not potty-training fast enough. You don't abandon an instrument just because you don't pick it up right away. And you DON'T abandon a team just because they're sucking a little. Or a lot. For a long time. But I have faith.

At this point, it's just about all I have.
